Aliens! That´s what the Vistors slot from ELK Studios is about. When I first fired it up, I thought I’d stumbled into that famous Star Wars bar on the planet Tatooine. The Mos Eisley Cantina, wasn’t it? The one with the jazzy music.

Well that’s what the Visitors slot sounds like.

Look and Feel

This game is about as upbeat as you can get – it’s nice and bright and of course has that alien space pop music playing in the background. Get your horn out!

This coulourful game is brighter than the Coins of Fortune slot and has a 5 reel, 5 row grid with no less than 3125 pay-lines: quite something. That’s even more than the Kalahari Safari slot which has 1024. And the big story on the Visitors slot is that you can win up to 10,000x your bet.

Symbols include a bunch of alien looking buildings (that purple one with the glass roof looks groovy), a Wild symbol (says “Wild”, so easy to spot) and the usual playing card symbols 10 through to Ace.

As usual with ELK, the theme is pretty whacky. The Visitors from outer space have arrived to play pranks on the locals, kidnap some cows, set fire to stuff, and generally cause a nuisance including activating bonus features. It’s bonkers! It makes the Piggy Bank Farm slot look straight laced.

There are expanding symbols, re-multipliers, sticky wild symbols and free spins. We’ll try and explain!

Game Play

When you load up the game you are taken to a  5×5 grid of a small town that has an alien problem. They are wreaking havoc with UFO respins with expanded symbols, extra wilds and multipliers.

Try and beam yourself up to to the bonus round, where silver UFOs really start to cause mayhem, dishing out multipliers up to 4,096x.

Payouts theoretically head up to 10,000x on this ELK Studios game.

The 5 colored houses and the fountain are your valuable symbols that will make up a town on every spin, and the lower value card symbols (Ace, King, Queen etc)  fall in around.

The mischievous aliens love nothing better than to abduct a cow or two leaving multiplier values.

Wild Flames and Other Features

Let’s start on the easy feature: the Wild, or should we say the Flaming Wild symbol. This will make up for all regular symbols. , and it does not come with any value of its own.

In the base game, you should see the the Alien Re-spins feature which sets off when you land re-spin symbols on reel 1 and 5: you will land 2 out of 3 UFO reel modifiers. The alien’s eye color reveals the feature you get:

– Yellow eyes – multiplier cows are “cownapped”. One of them is left for a multiplier up to 15x on the following re-spin.
– Green eyes – a UFO beam hits on fo the symbols and freezes it in place for the re-spin and expands it to a 2×2 or 3×3 block.
– Pink eyes – a UFO blasts the whole reel set with its beam: say hello to 5 sticky wilds placed at random  on the reels.

Alien Invasion Bonus
The Alien Invasion bonus is set off when you land 3 scatters or more. There are no regular symbols in the free spins bonus. Instead, you will see blanks and silver UFOs or golden UFOs on the 5×5 reel set.

You will be awarded 5 free spins, but you can boost the free spins in the bonus round. A silver UFO gets you 1 extra spin, and a 2x multiplier award. If you land another silver UFO inside the multiplier zone, the multiplier value is doubled. You win 1x for each silver spaceship you get, but the multiplier can head up to 4,096x your stake (that would be for twelve silver UFO’s in the multiplier zone.

The golden UFO will double the multiplier value of all the zones in play. The multiplier zones can also join up. The feature ends when your free spins come to an end, or you hit the maximum win of 10,000x your stake. Phew!

Summary

This isn’t the easiest game to get your head around (it’s not the easiest one to explain either), but with multipliers that go up to 10,000x who’s complaining? Not me.

As with many ELK games, the best way to learn the ins and out of the Visitors slot is to go ahead and play it. Start your bets low when you start off and test it out.
