The Wombat says: This Wombat isn’t usually a fan of candy-themed slots – we’re sweet enough thank you very much.
But we make an exception for the Sugar Train slot from Eyecon – mainly for the three bonus features that these game designers have served up for us!
Will the gameplay be mouth-watering? Or give us a big old toothache? Let’s fire up the reels and see…
Look and Feel

With its sugary theme, the graphics in Sugar Train are as brightly coloured an assault on the eyes as you’d imagine them to be. We are talking Rainbow Riches Pots of Gold with some Spectra thrown in for good measure, finished off with a spot of Fluffy Too.
Wear your sunglasses!
Your reels are set on a green hill (that looks like a big iced bun) with a train track and a tunnel to the right of the reels. And that’s about it. Not exactly 3D animated when we compare it to later games like the Platooners slot game from ELK Studios, but it works. This is more of a traditional game after all.
Sugar Train Slot Game Play
The Sugar Train slot has five reels, three rows and twenty-five pay lines. That’s a standard format for Eyecon games like Double Up Ducks and this one- why change a winning formula?
Bets start at 0.10 per spin, up to a maximum of 12.50 per spin in your local currency, be that pounds, euros or dollars.
Your symbols on the reels include every possible sweet food you can think of, such as cupcakes, sweeties, gobstoppers, lollipops, doughnuts, jelly babies, chocolate bars, hearts and frogs.
The most lucrative icon in the game is the chocolate bar. That makes sense! Land five choc bars on a winning pay-line and you’ll win 5000 coins! Cheers Eyecon, that’s a sweet treat!
The Wild symbol here is the yellow Gummy Bear icon which will do the usual job of replacing all the other symbols on the reels to give you an extra winning combo (all except for Scatter symbols).
You’ll also be pleased to hear that all wins that the Gummy Bear contributes to are doubled thanks to a 2x multiplier.
But that’s not all: there are two Scatter icons in the Sugar Train slot and the yellow Gummy Bear is one of them. The second Scatter is the Rainbow icon.
Free Spins and Bonus Features
Free Spins
Land three, four or five of the Gummy Bears anywhere on the reels and you will set off the Free Spins which means fifteen, twenty or twenty-five free Spins for you respectively.
You can also re-trigger the feature up to fifteen times, which means there could potentially be an ENORMOUS four hundred Free Spins up for grabs! But it is a tricky one to pull off, mind you.
Rainbow Pick Feature
If you hit three or more of the Rainbow scatters on any spin you’ll get either three, four or five choices in the Rainbow Pick round. Each pick hidden behind a sweet treat can pay out cheeky bonuses of up to 100x your total stake.
Gumball Bonus Feature
The Gumball bonus is set off at random – so keep your eyes peeled for the flashing lights at the top of the reels. Next, the Sugar Train will choo-choo along the tracks and fill up with sweet treats while claws descend to try and grab the rewards without dropping them.
There’s up to 500x your stake on offer here!
Gamble Bonus
The Sugar Train slot also gives you the chance to double your wins. It will pay double or nothing on your last scoop and all you have to do is choose correctly between the two options available on a second screen.
You can play this Gamble Bonus up to five times but don’t forget that a wrong guess will mean that you lose everything.
Our advice would be to play it sparingly. Bank your wins.
Note that this feature is not available in all countries such as the UK.
Conclusion
All aboard the Sugar Train Wombat Fans! The slot is one of the sweetest things you’ll ever see, and with three bonuses on offer, it’s an entertaining game.
And the Gumball bonus is a cool little feature. The slot has been around since 2016 and is still a favourite at Wombat Casino, so it’s doing something right! Tuck in!
If you like this slot you might want to try the jackpot version from Eyecon – Sugar Train Jackpot, also available at Wombat Casino.

What is the Gumball Bonus?
It sounds good, doesn’t it? When the red meter hits the top of the wigwag, new coaches show up on the reels, and Claws will scoop up five Gumballs from the train. Each gumball has a prize up to 100x your bet which you get as long as the Claw doesn’t drop the Gumball.

How Many Times Can you Re-trigger the Free Spins?
We had to mention this again. You can re-trigger the Free Spins up to fifteen times in this Eyecon game which is pretty epic. That’s in theory of course. It will all depend on your luck on the day.
