This game is no longer available at Wombat Casino. Sorry about that chaps. Why not try the very excellent King Kong Cash slot from Blueprint Gaming?
The Wombat says: On the whole, this wombat isn’t a huge fan of monkeys – what with their opposable thumbs and all that – but we’re willing to make an exception for giant super-sized primates, particularly if they’re going to pay us out serious amounts of cash.
And so we turn to King Kong Fury slot from NextGen Gaming- those lovely people behind the Fat Cat slot, Foxin’ Wins and Redroo (they like their animals do NextGen).
Based on the Peter Jackson film King Kong Skull Island, this game sees a great big bloody ape doing battle with some truly terrifying dinosaurs on the reels. It also comes withe 5 different bonuses… But enough of the monkey business!
Let’s play…
Look and Feel
As you’d expect from a slot themed around a blockbusting film, the design in King Kong Fury slot is pretty good, with 3D movie animations and crisp clean graphics. It’s not quite up to the level of the Kaiju slot, but it’s pretty darn close. Your reels are set on a prehistoric-looking island while the soundtrack is as suspense-filled and drum-heavy as they come
King Kong Fury Slot Game Play
King Kong Fury slot has 5 reels, 4 rows and 50 pay-lines. Bets start at €0.25 and go all the way up to a ruddy enormous €500 per spin. You’ll need to head to games like the White Rabbit slot to get more symbols spinning on the screen, as King Kong has a boat-load.
Your symbols on the reels are made up a whole host of nasty-looking beasts and include; triceratops, tyrannosaurus rexes, pterodactyls, massive insects and a big lizard thing as your high value symbols, while the A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 playing cards make up your low value icons. The T-Rex is the most lucrative symbol in the game paying out x10 for 5 on a payline.
The mighty Kong himself is the Wild symbol, he can land stacked on the reels, but will only appear on reels 2,3 and 4. The bonus symbol in this game is the scantily-clad damsel in distress icon – land these on reels 1 and 5 and it’s Free Spins time for you!
Bonus Features
Kong’s Call Feature
Hear some tribal chanting in the background after a spin? Then you’ve set off this randomly activated feature. Kong’s Call can also show up both in the main game and the bonus where a random number of wilds will be added to the reels. If the maximum of 12 are added, the 3 middle reels will become full stacks of wilds.
Lightning Reel Feature
This randomly triggered bonus can start on any spin during the main game or in the bonus. A strike of lightning will appear across the reels, and up to 15 high value symbols will be added to the reels which can lead to some nice chunky wins.
King of Skull Island Free Spins
After landing the Bonus symbol on reels 1 and 5, you’ll be taken to the statue reels where you must spin to reveal the number of free spins you’ll be given. You’ll be awarded 3 to 10 spins which are then given a multiplier. The minimum number of spins is 9 (3×3) and the maximum is 100 (10×10). That’s right, 100. There’s also no limit on how many times you can re-trigger the bonus.
Raging Respins
This cheeky little feature is only in play during the Free Spins round. If you manage to land a fully wild reel, it will become sticky and you’ll be given a re-spin. Oh, and if more stacked wilds appear during the re-spin, you’ll get extra re-spins too!
Conclusion
There is some seriously big win potential on offer in King Kong Fury slot, in fact we’d go as far to say there’s almost too many features in this oversized-ape themed game! But it’s the Free Spins that really tickled this Wombat’s furry fancy. With a possible 100 extra goes up for grabs, there’s more spins on offer here than your average Tasmanian Devil. Yes, it’s another thumbs up to NextGen from us.
