Graphics
Folsom Prison’s design revolves around the famous Californian facility and its inmates. The reels are set inside the prison with its high guard towers, big metal gates, and various ne’er-do-wells banged up behind bars on the reels.
The music sets the mood perfectly, slightly creepy as we would expect in this setting and it picks up the tempo on winning spins and during the features. Let’s call it Country Hillbilly Rock shall we? It reminds me of the Peaky Blinders theme.
There are two wild symbols that land on the reels during this game, (but not on the first reel). The first is the Rose Wild, which replaces other symbols except the scatters.
Next up are the Cockroach Nest Wilds that move around the reels adding multipliers and wilds and unlocking spots on the reels.
Passing the same spot increases the multiplier and if several land in the same spot, they turn the symbol wild.

Folsom Cockroaches
Let’s talk about these little blighter for a bit shall we? Yep, they’ll survive a nuclear war, but they also play a big part in this game.
Cockroaches can go anywhere, but they always scurry out of their nest in the open positions on the 3 middle reels or transformed from a Scatter.
If they crawl over a locked cell , it opens up.
A roach starts off on a symbol that is replaced by a Wild. It then
walks above the reels, dropping its multiplier to any symbol it passes. Cockroach dropping are good in this game!
Cockroaches that walk on the same positions at the same time will
change that position to Wild.
In the bonuses, the reels may land a Cockroach Nest symbol:
– These are dormant until a Cockroach walks on it, and the Cockroach will upgrade its multiplier to the next level for rest of the feature.
