Much like the story of Indie exploring jungles and deserts to find hidden riches and treasures, the Rich Wilde series has been continued by Rich’s daughter, Cat Wilde who has become something of a Wombat favourite.

Cat appeared in the ‘Book of’ series in the middle of 2020, and this latest release really hits the spot. The Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter slot comes with some great bonus features and a quality design that catches the eye no matter how long you decide to play. It’s got that big production feel like the Kings of Crystals slot about it.

Look and Feel

I’m impressed with how Play’n Go has put this game together when it comes to the game’s visuals. This follow-up title to the original Rich Wilde games has taken the market by storm with its graphics.

The soundtrack in the game adds to the overall drama and layers on the excitement, adding to the game’s “wow” factor. It’s punchier than Golden Elixir, that’s for sure! Although, to be fair, the theme on that one is a spooky chemist’s lab.

The game runs smoothly in both the base game and the bonus. This title reminds me of others in the ‘Book of’ series: it’s not the most groundbreaking out of the range, but it’s a great addition to the series.

Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter Gameplay

Load up the game, you are greeted with an ambient soundtrack that had me flashing back to Ibiza for a second. Well, I suppose there is a lot of sand about.

This is a 10 pay-line, 5×3 reel game where you can select the amount of lines that you play with. That seems to be the favourite set up, you will also see this on the Cat Wilde and the Pyramids of the Dead slot.

In the background, there’s a hidden temple, lit by hot burning flames on either side of the reel set.

The low paying symbols are the jewel-like regular card symbols, which are 10, J, Q, K and A. Moving on to the other symbols in the game, you have your ancient Egyptian artefacts, the head of Anubis and the Main Woman: Cat Wilde herself. Cat Wilde pays out a whopping 10,000 coins for a 5-of-a-kind combination.

There is also a Wild symbol in this game of course that takes the place of any other symbol except the scatters. Yes, Wombat Fans, you heard us right, plural scatter symbols.

The first scatter is a blue, glowing pyramid, and the second is a red-tipped pyramid with the Eye of Horus on its face. Both scatters serve different purposes and trigger additional bonus rounds. Keep reading the next section to find out more.
