Pyramid Quest for Immortality
This game is no longer available at Wombat Casino. Sorry about that chaps! Why not have a spin on Mega Pyramid slot from Red Tiger Gaming instead?
The Wombat says: Try your luck in Ancient Egypt with this mythological Pyramid slot from NetEnt, the makers of the Theme Park slot among other games. Try the Wild Wild West slot as well, if you like these kind of games.
You’ll encounter Pharaohs, Gods, Scarabs and a whole host of other icons from the Lost Civilisation on the reels.
Your job is to explore the last of the of 7 Wonders of The World to unearth abandoned treasures and golden jackpots.
Look and Feel
Watching down on your spins from either side of the reels are Horus and Anubis. Horus, God of the Sky, had the tough job of looking after all of Ancient Egypt, while Anubis, God of the Dead took care of souls in the afterlife. These 2 important deities are often found in burial sites at the Great Pyramids.
As your Egyptian-themed symbols fall then explode across as the reels, you’ll get a sneak peek at Anubis seated on a throne inside the Pyramid behind. He also holds a sceptre that will tell your multiplier level.
This Wombat rather likes the background music too. The harps, lyres and lutes take you right back to the time when the Pyramids shone in all their golden glory. All in all, this game is beautifully put together – it’s up there with the Spectra slot in terms of design.
Pyramid Quest for Immortality Slot Game Play
The Pyramid: Quest for Immortality slot is a bit different from your usual games. It’s a 5 reel slot with 5 rows and 720 Ways to Win. Basically there’s no standard paylines here, instead any 3x or more matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left side of the reels will give you a win. Then there’s the unusual pyramid-like row structure made up of 5×3, 5×4, 5×5, 5×4 and 5×3 – with Reel 3 forming the tip of the pyramid.
Naturally, your symbols on the reels are all Egyptian-themed, and include a Pharaoh, a Cleopatra icon, a golden eagle, a bejewelled scarab and a gilded cobra, plus the 10, J, Q, K and A set on hieroglyphics that make up the lower value symbols.
The wild symbol in this game is Golden Ankh on a purple background, and, FYI Wombat Fans, there is no scatter or bonus symbol.
Avalanche Reels
We’ve seen this before in Gonzita’s Quest and we loved it! Instead of spinning on the reels, symbols drop down in a brick formation, and when they are part of a winning combination, will explode and make room for new symbols.
This means you have the chance for lots more new winning combinations. It also makes a satisfying ‘crunch’ noise as the blocks crumble away…
And there’s more! We also very keen on the Avalanche multipliers. For every 3x successful Avalanche drops in a row that you land, and you’ll get a multiplier increase of x1 – and this can go up to x 10.
Wild Generation Feature
The Golden Ankh is the wild symbol, and will appear if you land a win on reels 2, 3 and 4 at the top of the row. Look out for the shimmering blue background; any symbols involved in a winning combo in those positions will also turn Wild in the next Avalanche.
Pyramid Quest for Immortality Conclusion
We do like an ancient Egypt-themed slot here at Wombat Towers – it’s all that studying we did in history class! And with the profitable Wild Generation feature we didn’t miss a Free Spins round either. Give this low variance Pyramid slot game a spin, and may the luck of the Gods be with you!
