This game is no longer available at Wombat Casino. Sorry about that chaps! Why not have a spin on Toucan Wild slot from Skywind instead?
The Wombat says: No Wombat Fans, your eyes do not deceive you, this slot is entirely based around our fluttery feathered friends, the birds.
The Birdz slot is from Games Warehouse, a slots developer that we don’t know too much about, and this release is a bit on the unusual side too – as instead of spinning reels here you will be make winning combos by matching birds (or birdz) as they flying off and then fly onto a load of telegraph wires. And it’s as bright as the 7Up slot machine and that’s saying something!
So it this game worth a flutter? Let’s fire it up and see!

Birdz Slot Game Play
Birdz is a five reel slot with three rows and thirty pay lines, more than the likes of the Flowers Christmas slot which has twenty. As we mentioned, all the slot action takes place on three telephone wires hanging in between between a couple of telegraph poles.
Press ‘Play’ and the birds will fly in from the distance and settle in their screen positions. This game also features Cascading Reels, so whenever you hit a winning combinations, those symbols disappear and new ones take their places.
We love a slot with a bit of humour (try the Hidden slot for instance) and Birdz has definitely got that going for it.
As you might expect, your symbols on the reels are represented by a load of birds in lots of different colours including orange, green, black, blue, yellow, purple, brown and red. The Wild symbol in the game is an egg icon that says ‘Wild’ on it which will substitute for all symbols on the reels to help you make extra winning combos.
FYI: Betting is fixed on all pay lines, though players can flutter anywhere from 0.30 to 150.00 per spin, which means there’s something out there for slot beginners and high-rollers alike…
Birdz Bonus Features
There are no bonus rounds on offer in Birdz slot, but the base game is jam-ruddy-packed with exciting extras and features, all designed to dish you out with mega cash.
To set them off you have to progress up the ladder to the left of the reels – it’s made up of a load of eggs in their nests… Once you hit a certain level up the ladder, the following features will be yours:
Bird Blitz
This is activated at the end of a non-winning spin, you’ll receive re-spins until you land a winning combo
Shotgun
Here 3x bird symbols are randomly selected and shot off their wire to help trigger a winning combination
Zap
One of the wires is selected and all the (poor) birds are electrified and head off to meet their feathery maker. New symbols land in their place. Sad!
Pecking Order
3x of the lower paying symbols are replaced with high-paying symbols.
Scarecrow
All the birds fly away and new symbols replace them to create a better winning combination
Cracking Wilds
3x symbols are replaced with wilds.
Conclusion
Quite frankly we think Games Warehouse deserve a medal for putting together such a cheeky and chirpy release as Birdz slot.
It’s entertaining, it’s funny and the frequency of bonuses plus the subsequent wins had us well and truly hooked over here at Wombat Towers. It also looks awesome!
In fact there’s nothing we didn’t like… Play it immediately! It’s a Pheasant Plucker.
Wombat score: 5/5
